COMPETITION

TEEN WRITING COMPETITION in collaboration with Dunedin Public Libraries and Dunedin UNESCO City of Literature. Entry is restricted to those from Year 9 to Year 13. One entry per person, with a maximum of 750 words. Closing date for entries is 28 October 5pm. Judges are poet, art writer, and editor of Landfall David Eggleton; and Bridget Schaumann, President of School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa. PLUS prizes for the three winners. Join our presenters in the exhibition By purchase, gift, or bequest: Associate Professor David Bell, University of Otago College of Education, Art Education who will discuss the Fred Staub bequest; artist Kim Pieters on supporting local art practice; and artist Steve Carr (who took part in the Visiting Artist Programme at the Gallery in 2013) on the importance of this programme to contemporary artists both from New Zealand and from overseas.
