Fashion

Discover changes in fashion over the centuries through looking at artworks and viewing film footage. Choose from the range of workshops below. These visits tie in well with an education programme at the Otago Settlers Museum.

Fancy Hats        Level 1-4
Look at the hats people are wearing in artworks, view historic film footage of hat fashion and play a game with an assortment of hats. The workshop involves students creating amazing fancy hats for cut out figures.

Passion for Fashion        Level 1-4
Design your own elegant fashion for a cut-out figure using lots of accessories.

Smart Wearable Art        Level 1-4
Get inspired by watching big screen edited video footage from the Wearable Art Awards followed by a collage workshop where students ‘dress up’ a cut-out or drawn figure. This will tie in perfectly with a school wearable show.

Fashion Drawing        Level 3-4
Draw a fashion figure and add your own flair with the design of stylish clothes and accessories.
