How can you convey the sense that an animal is moving? Use laminated pictures of animals in motion to look carefully at the shape of the various parts of the body.

Dancing Skeletons        Level 1-4
Bring paper strip skeletons to life by making them dance!

Exploring Art through Dance        Level 1-4
Students will explore the elements and principles of art in selected artworks and create dance pieces in small groups that capture the essence of those works. The dance will be performed with music. Bring a video camera to catch the action.

People in Action        Level 3-4
Students choose from a wide selection of laminated pictures showing people dancing, posing and a host of other activities. The focus is on capturing the essential lines of the body shape.

Falling!        Level 3-4
A still life object is shown from different angles as it tumbles and falls through the air. Does it come apart as it falls? Does it gently drop into the sea? Does it crumple, shatter or explode on impact with the ground?
