Analyse road safety films and television ads from the past that push the message of being safe a walking, cycling and driving or riding in a car. Choose from the workshops below. This visit ties in well with the ‘Transport’ educational programme at the Otago Settlers Museum.
Junk Cars Level 1-4
Students create their own vehicles using a spray-painted ethafoam base, loads of junk and some help from parents armed with hot glue guns.
Be Safe! Level 3-4
Posters need a short punchy message and a strong visual image. Brainstorm ideas and then turn the best ideas into road safety posters.
