Professor Alison Phipps UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts, and Professor of Languages and Intercultural Studies at the University of Glasgow, UK in conjunction with the Centre for Global Migrations, University of Otago, will present her first talk at the Gallery: Talk one: Arts-based Methods and Cultural Approaches to Refugee Integration. Drawing on many years of working with the arts in a variety of international settings, this talk considers how arts-based methods enable intercultural dialogue in order to challenge xenophobia so as to bring about the integration of refugees and communities.
