HUGGING TREES: POSTER COMPETITIONS. Using the materials provided in Playspace enter one of the following competitions:

Under 10 years: Create your favourite tree and write a sentence telling why you love it.

Over 10 years:  Create a poster about how vital trees are.

Your judge is the wonderful Raymond Huber, University of Otago College of Education/Creative New Zealand Children’s Writer in Residence, who is writing a children’s book on trees. Great prizes!

PANEL DISCUSSION on the exhibition The Freedom of the Migrant: Join Professor Richard Jackson, Director, National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Otago; Dr David Hall, Senior Researcher at The Policy Observatory, Auckland University of Technology; and Fran O’Sullivan, Managing Director of NZ INC. and prominent columnist for the NZ Herald who is a former editor of the National Business Review. The convenor is artist Matthew Galloway, who generated this exhibition. Everyone is welcome.
