ZOOM IN:

There are many different kinds of plants. Ayesha Green is interested in the way people over the years have classified and named them.  In this artwork she has presented us with 99 plants and their names.

Some plants have Latin names as well as the names that most people use.

Some names are in English while some retain the te reo names they were given centuries ago.

MAKE ART:

Find some examples of different plants in your garden to draw.
You’ll start to notice the tiny details that make each plant unique.
Can you name your plants?
