Art Night

Explore the Gallery over an evening and enjoy a programme of special events and activities themed around the exhibition Meet the Zavros’s. This event brings together people, art and music with food and drink to enjoy the Gallery after hours.

Live music: Local DJ Huffy will be spinning a special vinyl set.

Photobooth: Our photobooth will be open – enjoy taking free photos with a Zavros-inspired twist.

Botanic silhouettes: Violet Faigan will demonstrate arranging flowers and greenery to create forms. Violet is based in Ōtepoti Dunedin and is a dedicated artist and gardener. Along with being a jewellery-maker and vintage clothing collector, Violet has a longstanding interest in the interactions between plant life and society. She has exhibited in both public galleries and artist-run spaces throughout New Zealand and internationally.

Making activities: Try your hand at creating your own portraits, dazzling jewellery and nail art.

Food by Commons Eatery: Enjoy a delicious range of food for purchase by our neighbours at Commons Eatery.

Drink of the night: A selection of special fruity cocktails and a mocktail, designed by Dunedin Craft Distillers, who create spirits which are brewed, fermented, and distilled from local bakery surplus.
