A conversation between Suite 2026 artist Georgina May Young (Te Ūpokorehe, Te Whakatōhea, Irish, Scottish) and DPAG Curator Lucy Hammonds on the opening weekend of her exhibition I rongo i tō tohu – Heard your message.

Regarded as a leading contemporary textile artist within Aotearoa, Young’s practice is firmly grounded in materials and relationships which tie together weaving, embroidery and raranga.

Suite is a regular exhibition series dedicated to artists living and making from Ōtepoti Dunedin.
