Opening weekend talk with Taloi and Marilyn Havini
An International Visiting Artist Project, Taloi Havini’s (Nakas Tribe, Hakö people) exhibition, Shared Aspirations, will be the outcome of research into her personal family archives relating to the Bougainville peace process during her time visiting Ōtepoti. Taloi and Marilyn Havini will be in the gallery, in conversation with guests, to discuss the exhibition and her research while in-residence and reflect on the ties Ōtepoti has to the Bougainville peace process, especially with organisations like CORSO.
After the talk we will share afternoon tea and more conversations upstairs on the ODT gallery. All welcome, feel free to come and go as you need to.
