with Shireen Taweel – FREE

A conversation with Warrane Sydney based visiting artist Shireen Taweel. Taweel will speak about her visiting artist project 5364 nocturne which involved a pilgrimage across Te Waipounamu guided by the careful tracking of the night sky, and her wider interest in the influence of the celestial navigation technologies of Arab astronomy on the future movement of people through migration and pilgrimage.
Taweel will be joining via livestream from her studio, in conversation with DPAG Curator Lauren Gutsell.
