Ekphrastic Poetry
FREE Workshop with Emma Neale
Sunday 22 November | 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop and readings with writer Emma Neale. Ekphrastic poetry has come to be defined as poems written about works of art. Study a painting of your choice in the current exhibitions then write down a response. Two exhibitions that will work well for this workshop are Hotere: Ātete and Ayesha Green: Wrapped up in Clouds. The workshop session will start at 1:30 pm and will end with you reading a draft of your poem at 3 pm in front of your chosen work (this is not compulsory) and you will have explored your writing skills and performance experience alongside a prominent New Zealand writer. FREE workshop. We welcome high school students, novice writers, or even experienced writers who want a new angle. Booking essential Ph: 4743249.
