International Museum Day
Celebrations for all-ages in yellow!
Sunday 18 May | 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Celebrating joy, wonder and play and the opening of the exhibition littleBIG – join us for an afternoon of family fun at the Gallery on International Museum Day.
Fun for all ages, littleBIG features two very yellow, and very popular artworks by Seung Yul Oh and Don Driver.
Balloonologist Pippity Pop will be here too, creating balloon art inspired by the exhibition and bringing radiant yellow sunshine joy. Pīata Face Painting will be adding cheer to faces with custom face paint designs in yellow, and the happy voices from Choir! Choir! will fill the foyer with songs in celebration. You’ll also be able to get creative at our art making table and explore our tamariki-friendly spaces Playspace and the Whānau Gallery.
12pm–3pm: facepainting, balloon art and art making table
2pm – performance from Choir! Choir!
FREE Sunday 18 May
We appreciate your understanding if due to high attendance we are unable to accommodate all balloon and face painting requests.
