Juliet Carpenter

Artist Talk

Saturday 10 October | 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

An opening weekend talk to celebrate Juliet Carpenter's new exhibition Heaven's Blade.

Shot across Hawke’s Bay and Central Otago, this major new film work by Juliet Carpenter is set within a speculative world where the sun has become too intense for people to safely inhabit the outdoors.

Carpenter is an artist and filmmaker from Aotearoa New Zealand, now based in Berlin. Hear about the production and conceptual elements of Heaven’s Blade, including time spent as artist-in-residence at Te Whare Toi o Heretaunga Hastings Art Gallery, and how this work sits within Carpenter’s wider filmic practice.

FREE 11am Saturday 10 October
