Nature, Danger, Revenge:
Closing weekend conversation with Sorawit Songsataya and Madison Kelly

Join Sorawit Songsataya, artist and current Frances Hodgkins Fellow, in conversation with Madison Kelly (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Pākehā), artist and lead guide at Orokonui Ecosanctuary on the final weekend of Nature, Danger, Revenge.

The pair will discuss the parallels between art practice and environmental conservation in Songsataya’s work Crown Shyness in Nature, Danger, Revenge, which uses digital technology to reimage Australian Mountain Ash Eucalyptus regnans trees. This Eucalypt forest was planted around 1870, where Orokonui Ecosanctuary now operates, Kelly will introduce this forest along with the wider Orokonui valley.
