Matariki celebration

A baby, toddler, and under-five friendly exploration of the gallery in te reo Māori and English. This tour will be themed around Matariki, our starry signals in the sky that a new year has arrived.
Enjoy a morning of Matariki songs and stories, through the vantage point of our youngest community members. Discover colour, people, places, animals and the world around us through art. Join us after the tour for a special celebratory morning tea, to welcome in the new year with kai and kōrero.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver for the duration of the session.
This event is part of the Puaka Matariki Festival 2026. Mānawatia a Matariki!
