Evoking the 18th Century

Works from the DPAG Collection

Furniture, ceramics, sculpture, paintings and works on paper are combined to evoke the the aesthetics of an English 18th century interior and highlight the intellectual and aesthetic interests of 18th-century collectors and designers. The exhibition is timed to coincide with the occasion of Rewriting the Long Eighteenth Century, the David Nichol Seminar in 18th century Studies XIII, organised and presented by the English Department at the University of Otago, 10–14 April 2007.
