Frozen Flood
29 April 2006 - 13 August 2006
A BIG WALL PROJECT
"A flood is devastating and biblical and Mother Nature has been dealing us a few reminders lately, the “flood gates open” and “there are floods of tears.” My flood is a toxic mass of foam and plastic a reminder of another kind of devastation."
— Judy Darragh 2006
Judy Darragh has colonised New Zealand's largest exhibition wall with hundreds of squiggles of fluro-coloured expander foam. Called Frozen Flood, her work injects this grand space with toxic colour, perishable materials and a massive dose of innuendo.
