ARTPOST #24

Kua Tākaia ki ngā Kapua – Ayesha Green

15 September 2020

Placed at the heart of Wrapped up in clouds, the newest exhibition to open at Dunedin Public Art Gallery, Ayesha Green’s ceramic installation Landscape Painting looks at the variety of meanings of kupu Māori that have been used to describe the landscape. These speech bubbles operate as a set of conversations, hinging on what is lost, gained, or misunderstood in the process of translating language.

We’re excited to release a te reo Māori introduction for this exhibition just in time for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori (click the image/link below).  Visit the gallery or view online and immerse yourself in this beautiful exhibition.
