DPAG Curatorial Intern 2022

The Gallery is delighted to announce that our 2022 Ihupukutaka Kairaupī Curatorial Intern is Simon Palenski.

Simon is currently based in Ōtautahi and is a co-director, with Zina Swanson and James Oram, of Paludal art space. 

He has also worked at Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū as an exhibitions technician and visitor host; and published writing in Art News New Zealand, Circuit Artist Moving Image Aotearoa New Zealand, Hamster and The Pantograph Punch, and recently with Sorawit Songsataya for homefire at Paludal.

Simon will be involved with all aspects of curatorial work at the DPAG and we are looking forward to welcoming him to Ōtepoti in early May.
