The Gallery is delighted to welcome our curatorial intern for 2019, Milly Mitchell-Anyon
Originally from Whanganui, Milly has been based in Wellington, studying at Victoria University of Wellington. She recently submitted her Art History Masters thesis which centres upon a critical consideration of Patrick Pound’s show ‘The Great Exhibition.’ She is interested in the possibilities of object art as a means to investigate place, memory and belonging. She has previously worked at Puke Ariki Museum and Whanganui Regional Museum. Milly holds a BA (Hons) in Art History and a PgDip in Museum Studies from Massey University.
More recently, Milly was the Blumhardt Curatorial Intern at The Dowse Art Museum from 2018/ 2019 and comes to Dunedin following a fixed term contract as Collections Assistant at Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History.
