Welcoming the onset of the winter months, Steve Carr’s In Bloom arrives at the gallery this week. A series of bronze planters mimicking discarded car tyres, Carr’s sculpture has been on a seasonal journey around Aotearoa, reimagined at each stage by a local designer. At Dunedin Public Art Gallery, Carr is working with Jolene Wilkinson from Estelle Flowers to create a homage to the winter in true southern style.
