Nau mai, haere mai rakatira mā. This Saturday, the doors will open to our newest exhibition Unutai e! Unutai e!  The exhibition harnesses the power of contemporary art to shed light on an urgent environmental crisis: the deteriorating state of fresh water across Ngāi Tahu tribal lands.

To expand and enrich the stories of the exhibition, there will be a programme of free public events on Saturday 31st May. This includes the following events:

10.30am: Panel Discussion:  Ki Uta Ki Tai: What is the future for our wai? 
Chaired by Paulette Tamati-Elliffe (Kāi Te Ruahikihiki, Kāi Te Pahi, Kāti Hāwea) with speakers:
Edward Ellison (Kāi Tahu, Ōtākou),
Dr Jane Kitson (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Mamoe, Waitaha),
Te Maire Tau (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāi Tūāhuriri) and
Gail Tipa (Kāi Tahu, Te Rūnanga o Moeraki).

1pm: Exhibition Tour:  Join Ōtākou whānau, Te Kura Taka Pini, and members of the Unutai e! Unutai e! working group on a tour of the exhibition

2.30pm: Performance: He Waka Kōtuia
