UPDATE

on the Gallery's response to the COVID-19 virus

13 May 2020

In recent weeks, The Dunedin Public Art Gallery has been following advice from the Ministry of Health in respect to measures to protect staff, volunteers and visitors during the current global spread of COVID-19.

Following the Government directive to move to Alert Level 2 on 14 May, the Gallery will re-open on Saturday 16 May at 10am with additional health and safety measures in place to help keep our communities safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Our revised opening hours under Level 2 will be 10am – 4pm daily.

You will be asked to check in using the Rippl app or a manual register for the purposes of contact tracing.

We will be making some changes to how we operate the Gallery so we can reopen safely. These will include keeping some areas of the Gallery, such as Playspace, closed and limiting the number of visitors we have at any one time to ensure people can stay at a safe distance from each other. We are also asking our visitors to comply with contact tracing requirements and to follow the Government's social distancing and hygiene guidelines. If you are unwell, please delay your visit to us, or any Council facilities.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Gallery!
