‘Kua marara hoki ngā mana o tōna kaha ki runga i te katoa’

Nau mai, haere mai ki tēnei whakaaturaka o Hōri Kerei (H.K.) Taiaroa. This exhibition celebrates esteemed 19th century leader H.K. Taiaroa, and his life and work alongside his wife, Tini Kerei Taiaroa. A Kāi Tahu rakatira and politician born at Ōtākou, his impact on the history of this country is explored through new and existing artwork, significant portraits, taoka tuku iho, voices of his descendants and archival material. Featuring new artworks from Ephraim Russell and a rōpū led by Taiaroa Royal.
