Panorama

Panorama brings together works from the Dunedin Public Art Gallery collection to build an expanded context around paintings by Frances Hodgkins. The exhibition traverses subjects that frequently appear in Hodgkins’ works, ranging from rural landscapes, port and harbour scenes, portraits, and interior compositions. Panorama extends beyond these familiar Hodgkins paintings to consider other artists who were working in Europe and the United Kingdom in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including works by Paul Signac, Patrick Hayman, Maurice Sochachewsky, Vanessa Bell and more.
